Synopsis

In 2040, a brilliant AI engineer betrayed by the corporation he helped build becomes Nemesis, a masked vigilante fighting the technological empire that has stripped millions of their work, freedom and future.

In 2040, artificial intelligence has transformed society—but its benefits belong to only a privileged few. Robots have replaced millions of workers, powerful technology corporations influence governments, and entire communities have been abandoned by progress.

Alex Mercer, a brilliant engineer at NeuroBotics, helped create the intelligent systems reshaping the world. When the company releases dangerous technology without proper safeguards, Alex begins to question everything he has built. After being replaced by one of his own machines and suffering a devastating personal loss, he joins a hidden resistance led by his former mentor, Professor Elias Warner.

Equipped with an experimental suit and advanced technology, Alex becomes Nemesis, a masked vigilante determined to expose the corporations profiting from human suffering. But as his campaign grows more violent, FBI cybercrime agent Sarah Lin closes in on him—until the evidence she uncovers forces her to question which side of justice she truly serves.

The story

The world

The year is 2040. Artificial intelligence, humanoid robots and predictive surveillance systems have become part of everyday life. Wealthy districts enjoy clean streets, automated services and technological abundance, while millions of displaced workers struggle in neglected urban areas. Corporations no longer simply sell technology: they control employment, personal data, security infrastructure and access to opportunity. In this world, the boundary between public authority and private power has almost disappeared.

The conflict

Alex helped create the artificial intelligence now replacing workers, shaping public opinion and placing unprecedented power in the hands of technology corporations. After losing his career and the people closest to him, he becomes Nemesis and turns his knowledge against the system. But as his campaign grows more violent, the line between justice and revenge begins to disappear. To defeat the forces controlling society, Alex must first confront the darkness taking control of him and decide what justice truly means.

The mission

Nemesis and the resistance must uncover the crimes concealed behind technological progress, expose the alliance between corporations and public institutions, and dismantle the systems used to control society. Their mission takes them inside the most powerful companies in the world, where every revelation brings greater danger. They are fighting not only to punish those responsible, but to reclaim a future in which artificial intelligence serves humanity instead of ruling it, before freedom disappears entirely now.

Alex Mercer

Protagonist · AI Engineer · Vigilante

A brilliant NeuroBotics engineer whose work helped accelerate the rise of artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics. Intelligent, solitary and morally conflicted, Alex turns against the technological empire he helped create after witnessing its devastating impact on society. As Nemesis, he uses advanced armor, hacking systems and combat technology to expose corporate crimes. His greatest struggle, however, is not against NeuroBotics—it is against his growing belief that vengeance is the only form of justice left.

Sarah Lin

FBI Cybercrime Agent

A determined FBI agent assigned to identify and capture Nemesis. Sarah believes in justice, discipline and public duty, but the death of her father and the corruption she uncovers inside the system force her to reconsider everything she has served. Her pursuit of Alex gradually becomes an alliance built on conflict, trust and a shared desire to expose the truth. Sarah is both Nemesis’ most dangerous opponent and the person capable of preserving the humanity within his mission.

Sam Gate

Founder and CEO of NeuroBotics · Main Antagonist

Sam Gate is the brilliant and calculating founder of NeuroBotics, the corporation leading the development of artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics. Charismatic, ambitious and obsessed with innovation, he believes technological progress must continue regardless of its social or ethical cost. Although he appears to control the company, Sam is under constant pressure from investors who value profit above human life. To protect his empire, he manipulates employees, institutions and even his own creations. His relationship with Alex is deeply personal, and the truth connecting them reveals that Sam’s greatest invention may also become the force that destroys him.

Professor Elias Warner

Mentor · Philosopher · Leader of the Resistance

Professor Elias Warner is a former professor of philosophy and anthropology who becomes one of the most important voices opposing the uncontrolled rise of artificial intelligence. After losing his son to the social consequences of automation, he abandons academic life and creates a secret resistance composed of engineers, programmers and cybersecurity experts. Warner becomes Alex’s mentor and moral guide, helping him transform his guilt into action. He believes technology must serve humanity rather than replace or control it. While he supports the fight against corporate power, he constantly challenges Alex to distinguish justice from revenge and to preserve the humanity at the heart of their mission.
