The world
The Discovery Pod travels across the most important periods, civilizations and turning points in human history.
The series explores prehistoric communities, Ancient Egypt, Classical Greece, Imperial Rome, medieval societies, the Renaissance, the age of exploration, the Industrial Revolution and the beginning of the modern technological world.
Every destination is reconstructed as a living environment filled with historically inspired architecture, clothing, objects, customs and everyday life.
History is presented not as a collection of dates, but as a world the characters can enter, experience and understand.
The conflict
The Discovery Pod is still experimental and rarely follows Grandpa Ernest’s instructions perfectly.
The group may arrive in the wrong year, lose an essential component of the machine or become separated during a major historical event.
To return home, Peter, Lyra, Ernest and Quark must understand the period they have entered, solve the problem created by the journey and avoid changing the course of history.
The mission
Travel into the defining moments of human history and discover how civilizations were born, how revolutionary ideas changed society and how ordinary people helped shape the world we know today.
Through each journey, Peter, Lyra, Grandpa Ernest and Quark must observe the past, understand its people and solve the challenges created by the Discovery Pod without altering the course of history.
Their mission is not simply to learn dates and facts, but to uncover the human choices, inventions, conflicts and acts of courage behind every historical transformation—and return home with a deeper understanding of how the past continues to influence our lives.
